How it works

Overflow is exactly what it sounds like. If your library doesn’t answer a phone call in 2 or 3 rings, it rolls over to one of our Library Communication Specialists. We can resolve about 80% of caller inquiries with no library involvement. We integrate with your ILS as a part of the onboarding process, which means that we have the ability to do anything a librarian can do over the phone. 

Staffed call support means that we handle all of your library’s call volume and transfer calls that one of our Library Communication Specialists is not equipped to answer. 

Switchboard by Unique Phone is a phone tree setup that ensures calls get where they are meant to go. Patron self-routed calls minimize librarian distractions while maximizing efficiency.
